This week I melted some brass pieces I had lying around for some while now.
I printed a skull with pistons and the Yamaha logo on it.
Thought it was pretty cool to cast it, until I started preparing it in the sand..
Then it wasn’t a good idea anymore😅.
I tried 6-7 times at one night, and not one came out decent..
The next morning, I tried again and again, until I finally got one decent imprint.
That was the one you saw me cast.
Too bad for the nose, but I’m happy with the result!
Next time, I’ll cast this again , but a lot bigger!😁

Continuing the brass skull and ingot melt😉.
The one pipe you see me put in the crucible(plumbing), was copper I’m guessing..
It gave some really green flames and when the ingot was poured and cooled, you could see some copper colors..
After the clean up, it was all gone..
Next time, I’ll file a slip in everything to make sure it’s all the same material.
