Mega Man Legends (PS1) Gameplay (PS3 Upscale)

Mega Man Legends took the blue bomber in a direction that was a lot more like Zelda than the previous Mega Man series. I remember that I picked up my copy of Legends for $20 (black Label) at the store. It did sell well enough to be a greatest hit, but still had to grow in popularity over time through forum posts, and later through YouTube itself.

I love this game. It's been years since I have played through it, but I played through it a number of times when I first got it. My brother did as well. It's definitely a unique direction to take the series, and it's cult classic status is well deserved. I love the art direction, and the characters as well. As for the controls, I always change them in the options to where you change the camera controls to the D-pad which gives it more of a Tomb Raider tank-control feel. I've heard a lot of people complain about the controls over the years, but if you just switch the options, they are far more manageable.

NOTE: I've never played Mega Man 64 which was a port of this game to the N64. I wonder what the differences are between the two. I always meant to pick up MM64, but I don't really feel like paying $60-$80 for a cartridge just to find out.
