Which Is More Pretentious?

Peter Banks was the original lead guitarist for YES when they started in 1968 but split from the group in 1971 to form a new group that sounded ever so much like YES that he named FLASH. So today's Segue City Special features examples of both bands being pretentious with really long songs. The first song is from FLASH and their first album and the YES song is from the first album after Banks left the band with Steve Howe taking his place. So pack a lunch, sit back and enjoy the onslaught of British prog rock from the early Seventies...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
