Canadian BILL C11, The Government Beats ALL of us. HOW do we STOP it?
I almost quit making Youtube videos, if you haven't noticed. I have an incredibly problematic account, algorithmically. I recently discovered a MAJOR issue that my channel is likely suffering from. CANADIAN BILL C-11.
The Government wants to control who gets seen & heard, meaning they decide what Canadian channels will grow. But not just that, but it will also affect who viewers will be discovering. You might have already noticed that you are all of a sudden seeing new channels that are Canadian. A whole lot of them actually. I know I have. I don't see Pewdiepie or other channels in my feed that I am subscribed to but I de see lots of Canadians.
If #BillC11 passes, this will become the norm.
This is 1 of the scariest things as a Content Creator, if you are not deemed Canadian Image Friendly, your channel will be buried. Kind of like what has been happening to me for about a year now.
There are a lot of demands from the government for content creators to do in their videos, such as make Canadian content, talk about Canada in a favorable light, don't criticize the Government, be friendly in general, don't be combative/confrontational.
You might ask yourselves how will this impossible task be driven, they can't watch all our videos & monitor us. No. What they will do is implement a #crtc algorithm that will OVERRIDE the Youtube Algorithm. Youtube has to abide by it & let it happen because if the Bill passes, it will be a law.
I strongly believe that Youtube is being proactive, some of you might have recieved an email from Youtube educating you on this & thankfully also providing you a source for the official document to sign & voice your oppinion & disatisfaction with Bill-C11.

ps, please keep 2 things in mind, this video was recorded in August, so new info might be available, the link will explain. Also the video is not heavily edited because of a possible file corruption since the last 4 mins of the video were not recorded.
