Surprise ANTIQUE STORE Stop | SHOP WITH ME | VINTAGE FINDS

Deja Vu? This giant vintage warehouse mall seems familiar, but things have changed since we visited its downstairs last year! New management has opened an entire new level in the upstairs of this newly renamed store, a treasure trove where we hope to find familiar antiques and vintage our collectors want at prices we can flip for a profit!

Bigfoot says to believe in ourselves, and we believe we will find something good here! Vintage values abound, including radios, a McCoy pottery collection, even a Twin Towers mug priced less than 1/3 of retail. We contemplate the profit potential in parting out a set of Franciscan Autumn Leaves, and wish we could restore Mercury's wings on a beautiful 1890s Ansonia spelter clock.

We also look for fakes and mistakes during this shopping trip, in hopes that we can help other collectors and resellers steer clear of mistakes! We show how to spot depression glass forgeries, talk about the ethics of new Black Americana, and encourage comparison between American made and offshore cookie jars from the 1990s to see the difference in quality. These real world antiquing excursions are a fun way to get hands-on learning about these cool vintage items!
