Orange Scones

Our neighbor has several orange trees. He brought us a bucket full of amazing oranges during harvest time. We ate some juiced and some zested. We made these yummy orange scones with some. They are delicious. - Michele

1 1/4 cup Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
2 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Orange Zest
3/4 cup Heavy Cream
2 tsp. Vanilla

In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Add in the remaining ingredients. Mix the dough and add heavy cream 1 tsp. at a time until the dough comes together. Sprinkle surface with flour and roll dough until it’s an inch thick. Cut dough into 8 scones. Brush scones with heavy cream. Sprinkle dough with raw sugar. Bake for 12-16 mins at 425 degrees. Enjoy.
