Commissioner Roulette Closing Remarks of Emergencies Act Public Inquiry

On April 25, 2022, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appointed Paul Rouleau as commissioner of an inquiry into the invocation of the Emergencies Act. In the past, Paul Rouleau worked for the Liberal Party of Canada. In 1983, he was part of John Turner’s leadership campaign after Pierre Trudeau announced retirement.

Rouleau has until early February to deliver a written report and recommendations to the government, which will then be tabled in Parliament.
