Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Zomboss - Pepper-pult - December 2022

This Penny's quest focuses on the CORE plant Pepper-pult and was offered between between November 30, 2022 and December 13, 2022

Pepper-pult is a member of the Pepper-Mint family.
Costs 200 Sun. (175 at level 3, 150 at level 8)
Lobs a flaming pepper dealing 50 damage to the zombie it hits. (+10 per level.)
Said flaming pepper does 10 splash damage in a 3x3 area. (+2 per level.)
Pepper-pult can not be frozen and will thaw adjacent frozen blocks.

Commentary:
A Cabbage-pult which can not be frozen. Necessary on certain levels.

Bottom Line:
To be blunt, this plant needs some help. For less Sun (175), one can purchase a Fire Peashooter. This peashooter has all the anti-freezing capabilities of Pepper-Pult but does 40 damage instead of 50. This doesn't sound all that great until you realize that Fire Peashooter shoots over twice as fast as Pepper-pult.

Unless the level requires anti-freezing and has Excavator zombies (immune to peas), there is no reason to select this over Fire Peashooter.

Reward is 15 Pepper-pult
Players start with 1,750 Sun.

Level 3 Objective - Remove seven (7) health bars in three (3) minutes.
Reward is 20 Pepper-pult
Players start with 1,750 Sun.

I do not get a preview of Penny's Pursuit before it is released. So what you see is what players will get.

I also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.

Usually the Shadow plants are good against Zomboss. Just not this one. ☹️
