French Mattress Making Part 2 - Tufted Buttoning

Making and adding the tufted buttons to this French Mattress is a fiddly little job but well worth it. The buttons themselves are just simple little discs of fabric gathered up to create a little scruchy rosette but adding them to the Mattress.... now that's the tough bit that can make the fingers sore. I would have find this job easier had I been able to find my good old trusty upholstery needle that's about a foot long but, for the life of me, I don't know in which box I've stowed it away 'safely'. Anyway I did manage with a smaller needle but it was a challenge.... and now my fingers hurt!
