People are ridiculously cruel to fat women

I gained over 100 pounds in less than a year due to Cushings. I was told over and over that I was consuming too many calories so eventually I dropped my caloric intake to about 1,000 calories a day. I was having headaches and heart palpations daily. No one believed that I dropped my calories so drastically until my aunt who is a nurse noticed the Buffalo hump across my shoulders and asked if I had been tested for Cushings. I dealt with undiagnosed Cushings for 2 long years and in the meantime, I found how absolutely awful people are to fat people, women in particular. To be honest, it has been men almost 99% of the time who have said horrid things to me. I have been overlooked for raises/promotions since my weight gain. Unfortunately I have to pay out of pocket for my surgery so I'm stuck dealing with this until I can afford it. Life was easier and people were nicer before Cushings.
