The circle of stones dates to over a thousand years before Christ. It was constructed by early iron age inhabitants of Värmland (Scandinavia). A community of pre-Viking Age hunter-gathering fishermen. The circle of stones was used as a judges seat, a place were disputes or claims were settled by community elders.
