If you have capital already, the most direct way is you either purchase bonds or become a limited partner in an experienced investor’s syndicate (ideally one that is buying large multifamily apartment complexes with more than 100 units).

There rates now on government bonds are quite low so many investors that want higher returns choose private corporate income bonds.

They are a bit riskier than government bonds but if you don’t like the idea of a negative real rate of return then they may work better for you.
