Back to basics tutorial demonstrating how to make an Oxford style cushion cover complete with invisible zip. As usual there are many ways to make even this simple cushion and there are (usually) no right or wrong ways. In fact sometimes I might make Oxford cushions in a different way depending on the client's specification or the fabric type or pattern or even the availability or design of the fabric.

This method is just how I prefer to make them most of the time and because the zip needs to go on the back I like to use an invisible zip. Invisible zips can be tricky things to sew so hopefully this will give you a few pointers on how to insert them in a fuss free way. Again, there are other ways to do even this task; some people like to part sew the seam at each end leaving an opening for the zip. That's fine too, whichever way you find most comfortable.

As always, if you have any questions or queries please just ask.
