In this video, we will discuss the Marian Dogma of Mary, Mother of God. The "Theotokos," or "God-bearer," is a title that has been used since as early as the mid-3rd century AD.

The Third Ecumenical Council, held at Ephesus in 431 AD, officially settled the matter once and for all, put an end to Nestorianism (the heresy of Nestorius), and declared the Mary, Mother of God dogma.

Nestorianism is a heresy that believes that Mary is the only "Mother of Jesus" and not the "Mother of God."
