AN ACTIVE FAITH THROUGH OUR LOVE

James 2:16-17 King James Version
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

What acts of kindness can you do today to show God’s love to others?

How are you also caring for Him when you help meet their needs?

I was not only thinking about these questions, but I was also thinking about this morning's passage of scripture, and how as prophetic as it is, it is also a warning to us as to how we treat others. It's a warning that we need to heed, by making it a point to show God's love to others, but also to make sure we're representing Christ well. Something about this passage of scripture really stirred my heart, as well as many other passages of scripture pertaining to this, and I'd like to share what the Lord showed me from this morning scripture through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight. It's something I pray that we will not take for granted, but that we will take the time to put into practice, because as someone once said we are the only living examples of Christ that the world sees, so we want to make sure that we're representing him well. So, as I close this post for tonight, I challenge you to send an encouraging note, food, or anything out of genuine compassion and love, to someone who truly needs it. I especially to challenge you to think of ways that you can show your love for God, by showing love to others. Remember all the ways in which He showed you love through others, and don't be afraid to go beyond your comfort zone, to ask His help to not let any personal biases, prejudices, and yes even unjustified fears, get in the way of you being a witness for Him! I understand that you may not have the money to help people who need it the most, but just be there for them. You can bring over something to eat for them, or point them in the right direction to a very good ministry that will help them get on their feet. All you need to do, is show your love through your actions to them, and watch how Jesus will work in them!
