Located on the Tyger River in Union County South Carolina was owned by an Irish family. After winning on King's Mountain, the British attempted to defeat General Sumter's army at Blackstock Plantation. Pictured is the hill where the barn and outbuildings were located. It was from this site that the American riflemen defeated Colonel Banastre Tarleton's troops on November 20, 1780
