Thousands of unionised truckers in South Korea kicked off their second major strike seeking better pay and working conditions in less than six months on November 24, 2022. The action is already disrupting supply chains across the world's 10th-largest economy, affecting carmakers, the cement industry and steel producers. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol warned that the government might crack down on the truckers and force them to return to work or face fines or jail time.
