Chicago Bears Safety Eddie Jackson has suffered a ‘significant’ Lisfranc injury according to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo. Jackson suffered the injury in the Bears loss to the Jets in NFL Week 12 and he is OUT indefinitely. It’s very unlikely that Jackson will return this season, but what does this injury mean for his future in Chicago? Should the Bears bring Jackson back in 2023? Cutting Jackson would leave over $9 million in dead cap money, but would save Chicago roughly $8 million in salary cap space. Jackson leads the Bears with 4 INTs this year and has returned to playing at a high level.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus says that QB Justin Fields is still dealing with a separated left shoulder and is day-to-day. Flus didn’t rule out Fields playing on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, but said we won’t know more until Wednesday, the first Bears practice of the week. Fields also talks to the media every week on Wednesdays, so we’ll see how he’s feeling tomorrow. Do you want Fields to play on Sunday against the Packers?
