Alex Underwood, managing director of Empire Energy Group Ltd (ASX:EEG), tells Proactive that the timely and cost-effective drilling of the Carpentaria-3H well shows that their team is still in the forefront of the Beetaloo Basin's development. Despite having a horizontal section that is twice as long within the target Velkerri-B shale section, the final cost of drilling and casing this most recent well, according to him, is likely to be lower than the cost of Empire's first horizontal well,Carpentaria-2H.
