Democrats working to pass new bills in US House before GOP takes over

Monday marks the return of House Democrats to Washington in an effort to complete a long list of proposals before the Republicans take over the chamber in January. Democratic leaders are aware that time is of the importance in order to move legislation through the House to advance President Joe Biden's agenda because there are just a few working days left before the next Congress convenes in 2023.
