TikTok is rolling out new features to give it’s users more control over the content they see.
Firstly they are making it so you can specify certain words & hashtags that you don’t want to see in your “For You” feed.
Next videos will be ranked on their “thematic maturity”.
Basically this will be a similar ranking that movies & video games have & it’s gonna help the algorithm to not show mature content to younger users.
And lastly the app will try to identify videos that are fine to watch on their own, but that might be problematic in bulk.
For instance dieting fads, depression related content & tech news…
