Star Wars The Clone Wars R2-KT Maquette by Gentle Giant

R2-KT was created in memory of the 501st Legion founder's daughter, Katie, who passed away from brain cancer in 2005. Her memory lives on in Star Wars Cannon as R2-KT, an astromech droid in service to the Grand Army of the Republic's 501st Legion during the Clone War. In real life, her memory lives on with R2-KT making appearances at hospitals and charity events.

In animation a maquette is a small model of an intended work, used by animators as a reference tool to help retain character consistency. This maquette is made of a porcelain/resin blend.
