The Root of All Evil Might Be Money; But, The Root of All Sin is Pride | Athens Bible Church

What is the root of all sin? It is not money; It is pride.

Sinful pride: arrogance, mocking, haughtiness, boasting and conceit. If you have ever been angry with someone because of what they did to you, you have succumbed to the sin of pride. The solution is humility, but not humility as defined by the world. Biblical humility is the state of being where you are not focused on yourself. Only through appreciation for our own sinful condition and the magnitude of Christ' sacrifice for us can we become truly Biblically humble.
