Shippey FIRED For PROTECTING TOLKIEN LORE?

A new rumor has surfaced stating renowned Tolkien scholar, Thomas Shippey, was actually fired for telling Amazon the ROP showrunners were "polluting the lore". Has not been confirmed but, given what Amazon is doing, it is believable in my opinion.
