As a new real estate investor how do I know if I am focusing on the right activities?

Good question!

First, measure your strategy and see if you are accumulating more equity and more cash flow. As long as you are gaining equity and cash flow over time this is a good indicator you are on the right track.

Good activities are those activities that lead to you obtaining more equity and more cash flow. If the activities you are focusing on don't lead to that, don't do them.

For example, I have several people and they help me with work that is needed but does not directly lead to more equity and cash flow so I can focus more time on those activities.

If you don’t have an assistant, you are the assistant. You need to look at everything you are doing and make sure it allows you to make the most money and capture the most equity.
