Owen Warner finishes as runner-up to Lioness Jill Scott in I'm a Celebrity final

After an amazing three weeks in the Australian jungle, Leicester’s Owen Warner has finished second to former England Lioness Jill Scott in this evening's I'm a Celebrity ... final. While he might not be the King of the Jungle, the Hollyoaks actor has charmed the nation with his lovably naive ways which helped make him one of the standout stars of this year’s show.

Owen and Jill were joined in the final three tonight by Tory MP, former Health Secretary Matt Hancock - who became the first to be ejected in a public vote. Owen had been trailing in third place all day, according to some bookmakers, however the sight of him gamely munching through a meal of testicles, eyeballs and worms clearly impressed the public.

However, Jill Scott won the day and was declared Queen of the Jungle. More than 12 million votes were cast for the final, ITV said.
