At the Movies w/ Robert & Alex: Airport '75

Next on the Airport movies, Alex and I talk about Airport '75 and...WOW so THIS is where the Airplane movies got most of their humor from! We've got nuns, an innocent girl needing a heart transplant, a drunk, a washed up actor, family members of a lead character, a celebrity playing an exaggerated version of herself...all we're missing is a box of puppies!

As for Joe, he gets a beefier role here compared to the last one at least

When an in-flight collision incapacitates the pilots of an airplane bound for Los Angeles, stewardess Nancy Pryor (Karen Black) is forced to take over the controls. From the ground, her boyfriend Alan Murdock (Charlton Heston), a retired test pilot, tries to talk her through piloting and landing the 747 aircraft. Worse yet, the anxious passengers -- among which are a noisy nun (Helen Reddy) and a cranky man (Sid Caesar) -- are aggravating the already tense atmosphere.
