Members from the US Air Force and the Republic of Korea (ROK) Air Force reportedly set up an emergency landing strip on a road in Yeongju, a city in the ROK.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from Staff Sergeant Skyler Combs, along with a statement from the 51st Fighter Wing: "US Air Force and Republic of Korea Air Force members set up an emergency landing strip as part of a combined training event, aiming to increase proficiency, test technological capabilities, and strengthen the US/ROK military alliance."

In the footage, a ROK Air Force KF-16 Fighting Falcon can be seen performing a low approach at an emergency landing strip as part of the combined training event.

"The event was used as an opportunity to utilize the ELS as a means of increasing combat agility and to test the technological capabilities needed to accomplish future training events and operations," the statement said.
