Rofida Ibrahim is an audio describer for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. She narrated the opening ceremony in Arabic for the visually impaired. The six audio describers for the opening and closing ceremony are from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, which runs a program to provide a service for the visually impaired. Every match at this World Cup has been staffed with audio describers, with live narration in English and Arabic for the visually impaired. Audiences are able to listen to the game by simply downloading a phone app and entering a match code.
