How to use Direct Routing for Stocks with IBKR & Sierra Chart

This video explains some of the differences between smart routing and direct routing when trading stocks with Interactive Brokers. We showed how to send directed orders in TWS and directed API orders using Sierra Chart connected to TWS. The content in this video also applies to trading stock options with IBKR. Additional info:
1. If you submit directed orders in TWS and do not want to be reminded that you are submitting a directed order. You must uncheck the box 'Warn When Submitting Directed Orders (If SMART is Available)' which is found in the Order Presets settings for the asset class you are trading. It is in the precautionary settings.

2. These features are only available for customers with an IBKR Pro account. In order to have access to the SMART routing options shown in this video, the account commission structure needs to be set to Tiered. If your account is set to use the Fixed structure, you will only see one or two SMART options.
