Syngenta Gets Busted Years Later for Never Doing Proper In-House Studies on Paraquat

In the early 2000s, Syngenta started doing their own in-house testing on the herbicide paraquat. And the hill that they were willing to die on was that it did not cross the blood-brain barrier.

When you look at one of their memos at the time, this is what it said: "Avoid measuring PQ (paraquat) levels in the brain, since the detection of PQ in the brain (no matter how small) will not be perceived externally in a positive light."
