A statue of Abraham Lincoln was vandalized in Chicago with red paint.
Lincoln, of course, freed the slaves.

The far-left vandals wrote messages like “colonizer” and “land back” along with the paint that was meant to look like blood.

“This was the second time a Lincoln statue had been vandalized in Chicago recently. A statue of the former president was also defaced with a similar message in Lincoln Park in October,” the report said.

The Civil Rights Act of 1866 declared all persons born in the United States to be citizens, "without distinction of race or color, or previous condition of slavery or involuntary servitude." Although President Andrew Johnson vetoed the legislation, that veto was overturned by the 39th United States Congress and the bill became law. The Civil Rights Act of 1866 was the nation's first civil rights law.[1]
