DIY Children's Story Book Junk Journal Style

Using the "junk journal" concept to create a little book that will inspire a child to tell her own stories. The paper dolls are the main feature of this book. When I was a little girl I used to make my own paper dolls and their wardrobes.

My thought was to take a 21st century girl and introduce to her to another time period before TVs, iPads, and Cellphones and discover how those young ladies spent their time.

I got the idea for this project when I was told how my granddaughter upon seeing the "Mother's Journal" I had given to my daughter-in-law asked if she could work in it too. I had already been collecting doll patterns on my Pinterest Board as something I was considering for future gifts for my grand-daughters. With crafting . . . one thing inevitably leads to another.

Correction: The colorful neighborhood artwork used from a 2007 Calendar is NOT Thomas Kincaid but the artwork of Dennis Lewan. The name of the Calendar is Hidden Hollows.

Materials:
I used FREE wallpapers from expired wall paper sample books. The other papers are computer printers coffee dyed. I also used pages from a 2007 Thomas Kincaid Calendar. I used to buy pretty calendars in days past. I saved them because of their pretty art work.
