Revival: The First Great Awakening

Three men were chiefly used in the First Great Awakening. They were John Wesley, George Whitfield, and Jonathan Edwards. Each contributed to this revival in America and each wrote about their experiences so we can glean from them today.
Three men who were hardly in agreement as two were Calvinists and the other Armenian in theology and with different preaching and education approaches were surprisingly good friends who agreed to disagree and settle their differences as they changed their world. We must realize that God uses anyone who will give him their lives wholeheartedly and have a work ethic that puts them where they need to be, with what they need to know and who they need to reach. Each, in their own ways overcame challenges and hardships and even wrong feelings about the social evil of their day in slavery to be a part of one of the greatest revivals in the history of England and America. Let us be inspired by their examples and pray hard, work hard, and preach hard as well.
