Sammy, Kathy and their friend Danny decide to visit Tobacco Island with Dr Nature and Teddy, a friendly, big, white bear. Very soon, in the middle of a desolate area, they discover a warehouse where the Tobaccos make tar, which they are preparing for smoker's lungs. All of a sudden, Sammy disappears through a trapdoor. Having lost sight of him, his friends set off to look for him. On the way, they find the Tobaccos' secret laboratories.

But what has happened to Sammy? Has he been kidnapped be the Tobaccos'? Will he be able to resist their dangerous charms? And what is the mysterious object that Teddy slipped into Sammy's pocket?
