This new image noise reduction AI from Google is insane.
Currently, it’s known as MultiNeRF & is not yet available to the general consumer as it is still in development.
But luckily we can see some test images that the AI was used on to dramatically reduce noise.
This would be a great tool for various types of photo editing software, but I suspect it will probably just come baked into your smartphone in the future.
There’s already tons of AI processing that goes into images taken on smartphones these days & this would be a really great addition, that could make a cheap smartphone camera even more competitive with professional photography equipment.
