Thanatos represented death in Greek mythology. Though frequently mentioned but rarely seen in person, he was a minor character in Greek mythology. Thanatos was the deity or personification of the spirit of a peaceful death. The deity of sleep, Hypnos, and Thanatos were siblings. Nyx, the goddess of night, was Thanatos' mother. When the time assigned to them by the Fates had passed, he appeared to humanity to take them to the underworld. Watch this video to know more about him.
