Notoriety and Flashdance vocalist Irene Cara has passed on at 63 years old.
The American vocalist and entertainer was most popular for her title track in the 1980 film Notoriety, as well as co-composing and singing the raving success Flashdance... What an Inclination, for which she won an Oscar and a Grammy.
She later featured in films inverse Clint Eastwood and Tatum O'Neal.
Cara's marketing expert, who reported her demise, said she passed on at home in Florida yet the reason is "at present obscure".
Brought into the world in 1959 in the Bronx, New York City, Cara was the most youthful of five kids and began her vocation on Spanish-language television. Her dad was Puerto Rican and her mom, Cuban-American.
Having recorded music as a kid, both in Spanish and English, she proceeded to show up in various on-and-off Broadway musicals.
