Jonathan watches episode 1 of The Rings of Power for the first time! What an experience! Stunning... ly mediocre. Tolkien's work deserves excellence -- this was anything but that. Sure, it was pretty, and the soundtrack is first-rate, but the writing, the acting, and the action is just painful!
