Over 96% of all the refined petroleum products consumed by Nigerians comes from outside the borders. Nigeria is not the only oil producing Nation that imports the finished product, but it is the only OPEC nation that doesn't refine any of its oil.
There are several rich guys that control the oil industry in Nigeria. Their business revolves around the exploration, drilling, exportation and finally the importation of the finished product for the Nigerian market.
This is a look into the corruption within the Nigerian Oil Industry preventing the largest producer of oil in Africa from making any profits from its resources.
