This is Pool Live Aid, which provides real-time shot making instruction using a projector that hangs above the pool table. The pool table receives light from the projector that illuminates the ball's route in relation to the cue's angle.

The system makes a variety of computations by taking into account the cue ball's location, the pool table's edges, and the angle of the pool cue.
