Connors Lake - Backpacking and Adventuring - Part II

In late June we embarked on a journey to connors lake in heart of the kootenays. On our second day up to Connors Lake we think we have an easy 5 kilometers to the cabin. Little did we know that a good portion of the trail would be submerged in Connor Lake.

Initially we were supposed to backpack Mount Assiniboine but a late season snowpack kept us from venturing forth so we found a good back up plan. Nature dad's Dexter, Eric, Indy (bestest pooch), and Yannick invite you to watch Part 2 of our adventure!

This hike is and in and out trail near Elkford, British Columbia. It is located in Height of the Rockies provincial park It is roughly 30km long and features campsites at the south and north end of the lake. One feature is the cabin equipped with a wood burning stove at the north end of the lake. This cabin is a first come first serve and does not have bookings. We were lucky enough to get the cabin for our stay and it made for a welcome sanctuary as we warmed our bones and dried our boots by the wood burning stove.
