Wrong way driver heads down Route 5

A driver at the light decides to go straight and head down the wrong way on Route 5. You can clearly see the Do Not Enter sign.

Not sure what the driver was thinking. Maybe preoccupied or distracted with something.

Or perhaps this intersection design causes this sort of thing as the lanes split of to the right.
