Politics Serbia and Kosovo willing to go to war over vehicle license plates

I can not understand why civilized people in the Western World in the 21st century still want to make war over racial issues. Most people do not care about it but there is always somebody that wants to enforce his ideology on the masses.
I can not understand why Kosovo and Serbia now want to go to war over stupid license plates and permits.

PS: It seems that I am bit late. Pristina and Belgrade have reached an agreement on Thursday on the matter. Lets see how long this lasts.
