STOCK: Lavender Hill

Lavender Hill is a suburb on the Cape Flats. Created during the early 1970s, the suburb was a dumping ground for colored people removed from areas that were classified as white under the Group Areas Act – mainly District Six, Lower Claremont, Newlands, and Plumstead. Lavender Hill in Cape Town is widely known as a violent neighborhood where drugs and gangsterism are the order of the day.
