Kevin de Bruyne on Friday welcomed the news of Pep Guardiola extending his contract with Manchester City until 2025.

"Very happy. It makes my life easy," said the midfielder on Friday (25th November) at Belgium's training ground in Doha, where preparation is ongoing for their World Cup clash against Morocco on Sunday (27th November).

Guardiola's current deal with City was set to expire at the end of the season, but he has committed to a further two years at the Etihad Stadium.

The Spanish manager joined City in 2016 and has overseen the most successful period in club history, winning four league titles and nine major trophies in total.
