S03E07 Becker's Easy Eats: Easy English Scones

Scones, whichever way you pronounce it, is a basic component of cream tea (or afternoon tea). Usually made slightly sweetened, sometimes with dried fruits baked into it; scones can also be savory made with cheese.

Today I am making a basic, traditional version and we shall enjoy them with butter, jam and clotted cream; and a cup of hot tea with a spot of milk.

EASY ENGLISH SCONES

Ingredients
500g strong white flour (bread flour)
50g unsalted butter
80g caster sugar
5 tsp baking powder (not soda)
2 medium egg
250ml whole milk

*this recipe makes 20 scones
*****************************************
