Chongqing, a mega city of 32 million people, is facing "unprecedented difficulty" curbing the virus as three-fourths of new COVID cases have been spread by community transmission. Facing the temporary lockdowns in communities, what if residents have difficulty going out to buy food and vegetables? A hot pot restaurant owner in Dadukou District said that they shall deliver vegetables for free.

Thanks to returning customers nearby the community, Huang has opened the hot pot restaurant for over six years with a stable business. He understands that helping his community is an opportunity for him to grow as a person, giving back to the place helps to unite the community and bridge some of the social and economic gaps.

"I hope to help people in need through practical actions, enhancing their confidence and determination to overcome the difficulties together," said Huang. He said that he will continue to deliver vegetables as long as the community needs them.
