Poly B was used in millions of houses in the mid 1980's to the late 1990's. In Canada most poly B pipe was secured with copper fittings and crimps and in my experience was mostly problem free. When you buy a home with poly B it may be difficult to get insurance so make sure you ask your insurer about their policy on poly B.
