The DART spacecraft is set to slam into the 525 foot (160 meter) Dimorphos asteroid after traveling millions of miles since its launch date of November 24, 2021. The DART Mission is a test to see if slamming a spacecraft into an asteroid with enough kinetic energy to change the asteroids trajectory.
